The Holy Tree has claimed a central role in the human mythical imagination for thousands of years and across many cultures. It occupies a central place in many spiritual and wisdom traditions as: cosmogram of the universe; bringer of divine order ;(Axis Mundi) and, Bringer of Temptation and Inspiration for the evolution of humanity. It is at once the Tree of Good and Evil in Christianity; the Bodhi Tree in Buddhism; the Yggdrasil of the Norse; the Bile’ of the Celts; the Poteau Mitan of the Voodoo; The Tree of Life in the Hebrew Cabala; and, the Tree of Enchantment in Faery Seership to list a few of its sacred roles. Most people see it as a symbol. But what if I suggested that it is literal and that the Trees have provided an energetic and consciousness pattern that instructs us how to become fully actualized. If integrated fully, the Holy Tree can bring us to our destiny to be as we were described in the Bible – Made in God’s image. Orion will speak about the trees as Elders humanity that have imprinted us to prevent our drifting so far into the “Illusion of Isolation”. In the Faery Seership teachings which Orion carries, humanity and the trees are co-creative companions that integrate the stellar heavens, the oceanic/ gestational underworld, and the embodied middle-world. Orion Foxwood is a traditional witch, conjure-man and faery seer; and, the author of “The Faery Teachings” (RJ Stewart Books), “The Tree of Enchantment”, “The Candle & the Crossroads” and “The Flame in the Cauldron” (Weiser Books).
