Communicating and co-creating with The World of Nature Spirits and Elementals: Technology For Our Time
A Workshop with Susan Raven on the weekend of 2nd – 4th September 2016

How do we contact them? How do we learn from them? How do we begin to co-create with them?
How do we enter the dreamtime of their world?

At this gathering in the beautiful environs of Dunderry Park we will be exploring the methods used for
seership and communication prescribed by the philosopher, scientist and seer, Rudolf Steiner. We will be focusing on ways in which we can build a line of communication with the nature spirits, in order that we may receive information and insight into their world. By working together with the elementals – which reside in earth, water, air and fire – we can become responsible co-creators at this critical time in our evolution. In this workshop Susan will be describing the activities of the nature spirits in the landscape, in plants and in the human being. We will also be looking at how the elemental kingdom functions in modern technology and, most importantly, we will be looking at ways in which we can effectively help these generous inhabitants of the ether and astral realms for the benefit of us all.

If the tree is diseased, let us seek entry to the world of the tree spirit and listen to the
intelligence of the pathogen. If the land is sick, let us seek information from the Genus Loci
and listen to the elementals of the soil. Above all, let us return to a respectful and interactive
relationship with the vast community of nature beings with whom we share this sacred world.

Susan Raven is a long time student of Anthroposophy and has worked with the methods and exercises
prescribed by Rudolf Steiner for seeing into the supersensible realms and she has trained with Dorian
Schmidt, director of the Biodynamic Research Institute in Darmstadt. Susan is author of the book ‘Nature
Spirits: The Remembrance: A guide to the Elemental Kingdom’, featured in the Cygnus magazine, Nexus, Star & Furrow and Caduceus.

There is a vibrant science emerging today. It has many names and many languages, it is both ancient and new, and it is being raised to the level of artistic vision by those who practice it. This science validates the existence of spiritual hierarchies, nature beings and elementals, and it promises to bring a global validity to what can be experienced in the imagination, especially when it is practised within the group dynamic. If this post-materialist, visionary science were to have a creed, it would probably sound like this: ‘Everything we see about us, both beautiful and sorrowful, was once imagined, and everything we do is a summons to invisible beings.’

So, if we can imagine our way to a potential environmental impasse, we can surely imagine our way out of it and beyond. This sacred task involves learning to truly hear the Song of the Earth and to effectively co-create new human systems in partnership with Her invisible architects and artisans. Yet, how do we commence such a formidable task? We can begin by endeavouring to raise our vocational work to the level of ritual, by awakening the dormant organs of perception we all possess, and by widening our imagination to accommodate and decipher the new data we perceive and receive.

As emissaries of higher spiritual beings, the nature spirits wish to be of great assistance to us at this time, but we have to meet them in their world. They are calling to us from their shimmering domain of ceaseless movement and endless becoming… it is time to think with our feelings and feel with our thoughts, and learn a living-world-wisdom from the elemental kingdom.

In this talk we will explore:

Nature spirits and elementals in evolution.
The tasks of the elementals of earth, water, air and fire.
How our thought, emotion and will affects their world and ours.

We will also do a short meditation honouring the elementals within our bodies and the elementals in our immediate environment.

Susan Raven is an author and long-time student of Anthroposophy (the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner). Her recently published book Nature Spirits: the Remembrance is a step-by-step guide, bridging the gap between the supersensible world of the shaman and the seer, and the sub-quantum world as described by modern theoretical physicists like Dr. Paul Laviolette and Nassim Haramein. Susan regularly gives talks and workshops at festivals, conferences and venues around the UK. In her presentations she describes the fluid structure of the astral and etheric realms existing beyond physical matter, and she explains how human thought and emotion affect these subtle realms.

She is also a singer/songwriter whose songs are inspired by the nature kingdoms of Wales. She has produced two CDs, Glittering Cities and Ravensong, which are regularly played on BBC local radio and many other independent stations.
